Bittersweet Gila
The Gila Monster is described by many as a legendary climb in the New Mexican Wilderness. The climb itself is relentless as it is exposed to high speed swirling winds, while gradient shows no mercy on a cyclist. Any rider tackling it from either side is forced to grind, weave and struggle slowly up the long climb. Every year, both sides of the Gila Monster are featured in the Tour of the Gila’s final 170km ...

First Race of the Year – always Interesting.
The first race of the year always generates a shock that is at times overwhelming. The nervousness of a 200 rider peloton never assists in unraveling tangled nerves. Even once the race has begun, the rhythm, extra intuition for the group that develops with racing is absent. Familiarity with a large group is integral as it allows a cyclist to relax and focus on competing, rather t...
New Mexico –
Global climates around the world possess features that define them. Every environment has aspects that are beautiful in their own way. As such, a desert environment is notably a remarkable place. A desert is more or less defined as a region where evaporation exceeds precipitation over long periods of time. This inherently accounts for the aridity of a desert environment. Deserts can be intimidating, relentless and har...
The team left California for the Hot and dry sun of New Mexico to take part of the prestigious Tour of the Gila. The team is based in a nice sweet home lost in the desert of Silvercity! We are actually staying at a bit less than 5000 feet; it is the good place to be used to the low air density. It will be a big hard race in the beginning of the season. But this race will give a lot of experience for the next UCI races in the season. Pierrick Naud, Antoine Matteau, Charles ...

Après la pluie, le beau temps
Every cloud has a silver lining. Or literally, in english, "after the rain, comes nice weather". While usually this is the case and more so here in Southern California, that hasn't been lately. Much to surprise of the east coast the weather here in the west has been terrible in the past few weeks.
As you all know, not only am I the "American" on the team I am also the only western coast team member. I d...
